hello~! I just joined the 6tones community and found your subbing community here~
that's so great of you understand a lot of Japanese by self study (and a busy medical student at that :o) I've mostly take subtitled videos for granted so my japanese learning pace is reeeaally sloowww (I just took my first JLPT last year so I'm more pumped up in learning.. though I get discouraged by kanji ;;)

Hmmm well, I never really thought about it, but I studied Japanese for about 4 years before I entered medical school. And trust me, there's still a lot that I don't know, I keep looking back at the dictionary all the time LOL. I still study Japanese nowadays by myself though, and actually I still haven't reached that "busy phase" of medical students, I'm still in the "relaxed phase" ahahaha
