- I'm banning myself from all political news until late tonight. I'm just going to do work and ignore all things political because I'm ridiculous about politics and it makes me nervous. Seriously, insipid_paragon spent two weeks with me in October 2008 and I think I spent more time reading Nate Silver's blog posts than I did talking to her. The way she and my ( Read more... )

I love Coulson madly. Like, I want the SHIELD show to have six seasons and a movie, and I want all the fic about him being a badass. And I have all these questions about where Phil is going to come back into the picture with SHIELD, because he’s clearly high up in the chain of command, but I’m wondering just who he takes orders from other than Fury and how that impacts the place he’ll have when he recovers. And soonish we’ll be able to weave the show canon into the movie verse, and there will be so much canon, and now I want stupidly domestic Clint/Coulson where they come home from work and talk about who they defeated that day while removing all their weapons. “…and then the Shi’ar said I wasn’t worthy of conversing with their leadership and demanded to speak to someone with actual power. I hate those guys. What did you have today?” “A conversation with Namor.” “I’m so sorry, Clint ( ... )

inadvertently, in a wandering way as one is wont to do on da internets, i came upon this fashion site on facebook. i love all the glam makeup clothes hair etc etc and then on the second week i find that it is a nest of One Direction groupie fanfictioners, and it's based in mexico, and the teasers the mods share are in spanish and it's all very uber cute so much so that i try not to get a toothache but i'm mostly laughing in appreciating and solidarity and of course i thought of you.

i'll have you know i rounded up all three of my fandom-on-facebook friends on facebook with one direction video posts, and i must say i was ahead of your curve since you started posting that ish, like, atleast two full seasons in the sense of weather and months, like, waaay after i did. heheh <3

LJ RL delay?

<3 you.

I have been on internet hiatus pretty much all week. Went to bed at like 8 pm Tuesday night and woke up prepared to go to work with red, swollen eyes after reading heartbreaking news, but instead! Delighted! ECSTATIC. Of course, all the cops are being whiny bitches, but I just advise them to go share their woes with Limpbaugh, because they are not going to be able to hamper my JOY. And now I seriously think I am going to have to hide ONTD_Political from my Friends feed because now I'm just finding new things to rage about.

P.S. Applications for the evidence job were to be turned in Friday. Their secretary says she expects interviews will be Wednesday or Thursday. I am still trying not to count chickens, and yet the hope, it is there.

I was resolved to ignore everything, but then I started watching the returns in real time and consoling Rod over the phone with reminders that West Coast polls close four hours after East Coast, and you gotta factor in Cali's 55 electoral votes when you freak out over the Bible Belt going red. And then there was joy, and a full-on block party with fireworks in my old neighborhood.

I hope you get the job! I'm crossing my fingers for you.

It was such a relief, even though I caved and watched a lot of it come in real time, thereby increasing my stress.
