Cultural Differences

For all the similarities of our day-to-day life here in the South, there are distinct differences. Unfortunately, not all of them are quaint or quirky. But one that is quirky is the koozie. Oh yeah, that foam sleeve that fits over beer cans and bottles (that is just not used in California) is standard operating procedure here in Columbia, SC.

I ate at a bar on the beach of Ko Phi Phi island, part of Thailand, and one of the flags they had collected was your state flag! totally random among the other nation-flags!

i didn't know they were called "koozies." is that like "cozy" except they keep your drinks "kool" ?

i just got one at blizzcon. it has a drunken panda on it.

bringing your own to a party is like a genius idea cuz then you can keep track of your drink! i'm gonna bring mine to work so i can keep track of my water bottle.
