I really didn't want to do this. But between having to reformat my computer three times and probably having to reformat it one more time to fix the problem again (if it's fixable without replacing my motherboard), losing my prompts again and being leery on downloading the files that laerkstrein grabbed for me (which reminds me, thanks for doing that sweetie) ( Read more... )

afteriwake's love/hate computer thing, it's school time!, thinky thoughts, fandom: bleach, fanfic: afteriwake's fic, this royally sucks, real life

((hugs))

It can be hard to write when everything else is happening. Write when you can and for yourself but don't pressure yourself to write. Especially with the course load you have right now.

::hugs:: Thanks, sweetie. I was trying to avoid it, but I'm going to end up highlighting that copy of the book you sent me. She'll take me highlighting sections in lieu of physical notes. I didn't really want to do it, but...yeah ( ... )

Ugh my computer is acting up... I think it's because I am tired. Firstly it sucks that you had to highlight the book but if it'll make your teacher happy, then yay for that.

I think about Frodo's friendships, you're right in that assumption. I also think that Sam also changed on his adventures so that he could become friends with Frodo.

Tom Bombadil is a very interesting character. I don't know if I'd see Tom and Goldberry as allegory to Adam & Eve. However I don't think it's a far stretch either. If you go to the Lord of the Rings wiki and read the entry on Tom, you'll see that there's a lot of questioning about his character. (You can go here to read it.)

Yep, like your friend said, don't pressure yourself into writing. Not only does it build up stress, but, in my experience, causes the quality of your work to deteriorate.

I completely understand! I'm in the same boat. My workload isn't nearly as big as yours, but when you're stressed, writing just doesn't come as easily, I find. I totally understand.
