There is this wonderful IshiHime comic (with a bit of IchiRuki) over at bleachness that all IshiHime shippers should read (it may be locked...not sure). But seriously, it is so ADORABLE! I can't wait till all the fighting is over and the minds are healed, and I can get cute moments like in that comic (though maybe without the lacy lingere

Another thing about the Jackie fight is you have to realize Renji's really grown and has probably been taught the ways of honor and etc by Byakuya. That and (as much as some may hate to believe it) with the way Bleach is written I don't think when Renji was introduced he was entirely thought out, and that's why he was okay with manhandling Rukia, that or if you want to spin it he thought she was a traitor and wanted to keep up appearances.

Even further Renji's never actually fought other female opponents to my recollection. And if he did they were hollows, and hollows don't appear human so that's sort of detaches that aspect. That and I don't think the Shinigami were actually ordered to kill them unless absolutely necessary, I mean Ginjo is the priority here so who's to say Xcution weren't just manipulated and innocent (and Soul Society does get more leniant as time goes on in series- that's why Harribel and her Fraccion are alive in suplimentary material).

Of course this is just the way I figure it.
