Never let it be said that Frank Castle isn't a patriot.
He spends his day cleaning his weapons. Then roaming El Paso, watching the people. He even helps a little girl find her parents in the bustling crowds as it nears dark.
The fireworks show? He enjoys that.
Afterwords, he beats the holy hell out of an attempted mugger, leaving him wrapped around a tree with his fingers tied into knots.
Her entire day was televised, a big patriotic event with other members of F.I.S.T. and the Avengers. She was on a talk show, espousing how important today would be for all Americans. She went into a parade, standing on a float and beaming to all the citizens...
...Of Metropolis.
Despite being a member of F.I.S.T., Hope was a hometown girl. It was how she was sold. It was why people loved her.
They'd tried to get Captain America to show, apparently, but they weren't able to contact him. Rumor had it that he was wandering around one of the Central Parks, chatting it up with the little people.
That night, Hope watched the fireworks from her plush apartment, smiling over a glass of bubbly.
Sarah had meant to spend the day with Cassie. However, she'd gone a little far when trying to look for something to drink, and had ended up hopelessly lost.
Somehow ending up in Gotham, she assists in evacuating a burning building and ends up on the local news. She probably doesn't earn any points when she asks the reporter why he's just watching the fire instead of helping out.
It's not until late afternoon that she finally finds a way home, showers, and hooks up with Cassie again. Hopefully they'll be able to enjoy the fireworks without incident.

Yeah.
She could get used to this.

She'd only just returned, and her first holiday back with them couldn't be spared.
She misses her brother.

He spends the day drinking.
And then he goes and 'replaces' the fireworks technician, making sure that the night's show is a bit more explosively than planned.
No one is hurt, though people will wonder for years how a giant, flaming middle finger got aimed at the Avengers Tower.
