I am so thrilled to see an update of this 'verse. I love reading Laura with the kids, she was so maternal with the kids on NC and it breaks my heart that in canon she never got to experience parenting her own children or nieces/nephews. It's so gratifying to see her experience that now, and of course, seeing her experience that with Bill, her true partner and love. ♥

This 'verse is all about giving these two what canon denied them...I just want them to be happy, lol! I think things will get a little more interesting once they move to Tauron, but in the meantime some happy domesticity seemed appropriate. :) Thank you for reading!

What a perfect slice of life for our little family :-) The detail on kids and the snow was just right (from what I can remember!)

Is it silly that I got sad about them packing up their house and moving? They've been so happy there...

Bill's remark about "little collaborator" was chilling, although it probably wasn't meant to be. I got a flash of a pint-sized Ellen growing up somewhere. It's so interesting to see how the enemy gets reduced to something as innocuous as a snowman with time.

They love each other so much :-) These two enjoying their three kids just brings all the happy feels. And nice twist at the end with the Caprican apple muffins. I hope there'll be more adventures once babytattoofic moves to Tauron!

I had help with the snow details...at first I had them in snow pants, but my beta pointed out that warm-weather mamas don't buy snow gear for the kiddies, they just bundle them up in a ridiculous amount of layers, haha.

The snow cylons I thought could have been an innocuous thing even before the war (like, a U-87 would help the kids make it, so why wouldn't they decide that it would be a cylon instead of a "person"?). I'm glad it came off as creepy, though! There needs to be some tempering of the extreme fluff!

These updates are always so wonderful to read. Snow has always been around here in the winter, so I never think much about first times. It was lovely to read this one between Laura and the kids. I also loved this:

Sephie and Phin had laid down on either side of the baby and pulled the edges of the blanket up over them, making for what appeared to be a crepe filled with little Roslin-Adamas.

I love all this joy for Bill and Laura. Thanks for creating it!

Aw, thanks for reading about the happy family times and baby crepes. (I just realized how often I describe these poor children as food!) The bit about snow being rare in Caprica was inspired a little bit by Blood and Chrome. I didn't get why "Ice Planet Hoth" would be a resort destination all the way out there in Cylon-occupied space unless the billions of people on Caprica really had nowhere else to go to get their ski fix!

Oh, how I adore this beautiful family. Student!Bill is so cute in the midst of the paper writing push, and I love how he took a break to make cupcakes. Yay for Cyrus's debut! Love how the twins are so sweet with him. *squishes them all*

The Snow Cylon was perfect, and Sephie's responses to it were great. :D Yay for snow angels.

I'm excited for Laura's new job and their move to Tauron. Hope they eat all the cherry cakes...
