[for fiyero and elphie]

It had been a few days since her talks with both Elphie and Fiyero. Blissful wonderful days. Of course, they couldn't have been perfect. Perfect would have involved a few more gowns, perhaps a bit of magic, and maybe a place that the Upland name meant something. Fiyero came into the hut to look for a new pair of pants as his were soaked from his daily smile. As he passed Glinda's room, he saw her out of the corner of his eye and grinned, pausing to look in on her. "Find something interesting?"

Then he saw what was in her lap. The Grimmerie, left by the first Glinda to arrive on the island and he didn't know what to say.

Her brow had been furrowed in concentration, making her way through words that she barely knew. Looking up at Fiyero she didn't smile, not this time. "How did this get here? Elphie left it with me when... When you left."

Fiyero bit his lip for a moment, then sighed. He held a hand to indicate a moment before slipping to where he and Elphaba kept their clothes and quickly dried off and changed into a dry pair of pants, remaining topless as the diamonds sparkled down his spine. He retook his place in the doorway, before saying softly. "We told you, how you were here, on the island, before? A previous version of you as odd as that sounds? She brought that with her." He nodded to the book. "Elphaba kept it after she disappeared..."

Glinda shook her head, her fingers clutched tight around the edges of the book as she stared in Fiyero in disbelief. "I've been here before?" She didn't remember it, being here. The shock in her voice gave way to something colder, "No. You didn't tell me."
