Hubs and I are weird and don't celebrate Valentine's Day. We instead celebrate "Sweetheart's Day" which is a day of our choosing, usually in February. We go on an all-day date and have a nice dinner. I think this year we're going to take a photo & drawing trip to the National Cathedral.

Timmerz and I don't actually celebrate Valentines Day either, but we both like to use it as an excuse to buy something special for each other.

Your date sounds SO DREAMY. It's great that you and hubs like to be all artistic together.... c'est romantique!

Their bacon bar is *amazing*. You should totally get one someday. Or, I guess I could just bring a whole bunch of them next time I come to visit. After all, Vosges is made in Chicago, where I live. ^_^

Brooke, would I lie?!

No, wait, don't answer that.

Though, really, if you like bacon, and if you like chocolate, then you should like their bacon bar. It's got good-sized morsels of bacon that are still a little chewey (as in, not dried-out, super-crispy shards of bacon). Overall, it adds good texture, a little sweetness and smoke to the chocolate more than a specific ham flavour. If you didn't know it was bacon in the bar, I doubt you could identify it right off the bat. I'm just saying...

Did you see that they have a sugar-free bar?
