When I started getting into BPAL a few months back, I scanned the list of scents for "the one."  My eyes skimmed all of the luscious, debauched and tarty ingredients with a rumble of desire and the feeling of, "oh wow! Am I tuberose, magnolia and vanilla?  Or myrrh, sandalwood and embers of lost loves?"

Yaaaaaay another BPAL nut! I really relate to the need to find YOUR scent...I got really disappointed recently because I realized that my summer ME scents do not work as nicely in the winter. However, this came at a good time; I'd practically finished my imp of Bengal (MY scent) and was planning to buy a full size, but not for winter...so I saved some money for now!

I tried Baghdad and did not like it, but roses really don't work on me, because my skin seriously amplifies the flower scents. Kathmandu is on my list to try too. I vote you get a full size Sri Lanka and get imps of the other two!

Sri Lanka and Kathmandu sound like they might work for me, but Baghdad would be too much rose probably. Actually, it might work on me, but I might not like it.

I think I've tried Baghdad, and I remember thinking it was bitingly spicy. I don't think it was very rosy, overall, but I remember not liking it as much as I thought I would.

BTW, in the upcoming Lupercalia scents (usually released mid-Jan), you should try Smut, Luperci, and Khajuraho, if they reappear.

as dirty of a girl I am, I do like having a scent around that I like. I might try this sometime, but I am pretty satisfied with the shop that mixes things up for you, and it's right around the corner! I love the earthy, musky smells. I have to read it to remember exactly what I have though.
