i also worked the 4th, and caught the fireworks on the way home, which yeah were kinda sucky (brighton), but we could see like 4 other shows at the same time, which was kinda cool.

you're right, I never would have assumed people would rather eat than watch the fireworks. Unless they were out on the patio trying to hit two birds with one stone. Last year during the fireworks, I was working at TOPS and there wasn't a SINGLE person in the whole store besides me. Although after the fireworks ended there was a sudden rush of people buying beer and mixers...

haha, it was just annoying. I think I had like 10 tables all night from 6 till 11. and I love the booze run after fireworks. that's great and so american. :P what did you this year?

the usual- watched the fireworks over at buckland park. btw, if you like "loud booms" (i myself like to be temporarily defeaned) don't go there because they just sound like distant gunshots.
