Neal doesn’t cash in his rain check that night, either. He falls asleep in El’s and Peter’s arms, comfortable, warm, and happy, finally feeling that contentment he longed for. It’s a rather tame feeling after the barrage of feelings Neal had to endure and the battles he had to fight to get here. This was terrific! *is so excited you are continuing this!!*

I love the intimacy of this. Also this line is so great:

"And they do better than forgive- they don't judge in the first place."

And I love that he is worried about his performance, and tht Peter tells him what El likes and she has to correct him - it really makes it seem realistic

O_O I cannot imagine being quite so ambitious! It's a very, very low possibility I'm afraid.
