There are television commercials for Botox now. If that isn't indicative of our collective shallowness as a society, I don't know what is.

So. To Botox or not to Botox? On one side of the argument, there's the whole willingly allowing yourself to be injected with a product of fucking botulism. One unit of that shit is enough to kill a mouse. They ( Read more... )

I've never thought about your lines or wrinkles. I've seen them, noticed the laugh creases on the corners of your eyes; but never really thought about them as if to wonder if maybe you could change this or that about you. I guess it all endears me. And when I piece it all together, even your smallest flaws aren't that anymore. Maybe when you start to show aging in public, you'll be nagged internally and externally to change this or that for this role or that one. Then again, look at all the actors that haven't had to do that.

But I digress. My movies are horrible and everybody already thinks your hair is fake.

Did you just say I have wrinkles?!

Kidding. Thank you, babe. I love you, you know.

Isn't it the other way around?

Sean Connery is what, 70, and still considered a sex symbol. Has he had botox or other cosmetic surgeries?

Of course, you don't have an accent, do you?

Oh, and I don't think I've said hello to you yet. Hello.

No accent, but I can do a mean Connery impression. And yes, you're right, he's a very good example.

You haven't, hey. Bet you could have a fucking field day with me.

You're a man (which I know you are fully aware of) you've got that in your favor. You can look distinguished, a little grey at the temples and a few wrinkles aren't going to stop you. There are so many men in the business who have evolved well, I think that you will be one of them.

It's more difficult for women. I had a breast reduction at a young age, and aside from my hair that's really all I've messed with. If I stop getting offered roles, I think I'll still produce or maybe it will just mean it's time for me to step away from the lights and lead a more peaceful life. It's not something I think about that often. I think most of us are lucky enough that we don't have to work to support ourselves. If I stopped working today I could still be set for life. That's comforting and scary at the same time.

I love that icon. But anyway.

You do have a point, but as I said, from the things I've seen and heard in recent years, it's becoming more and more common for men to request facelifts and botox and all that other shit. An acquaintance of mine got calf implants. Fuck is that?

You had a reduction? I never knew that. And I'll be a gentleman, for once, and not voice my current thought patterns.

I said in an entry once that I would never leave the industry. Producing hasn't been entirely lucrative thus far, but we're still a fledgling company. I probably have at least ten scripts or treatments in my head somewhere. And directing is one of my lifetime goals. If I lose my bankability as a movie star, I at least still have the rest to fall back on.

Between the money and investments I've made, I could live like a king for the rest of my life and not do a damn thing. But I'd rather keep working until I just can't do it anymore.

Thank you.

That may be true, but I still think that there is going to be a percentage of the population that respects seeing people age naturally.

Yes, really but it was quite a while ago - like ten years and since they aren't as perky as they once were they've filled out a bit more. Does that answer your unasked question?

I guess I'm fairly lucky that Flower Films has had some big hits, we just hired some new staff. I think I always want to have a hand in the business, it's in my blood. I don't think it will always be in front of the camera.

I kid. Thanks.
