So this magic thing? It was pretty darn cool, if I say so myself! Being out there with nature and getting to communicate with Faeren (I think that's her name?) - man, there is an upside to Luceti after all. I think I'll go for healing magic next! Once I master earth magic, that is ( Read more... )

rain is rain, magic time!

It's no problem. When you decide to start learning fire magic, tell me.

Of course! I figure it'd go after the healing magic since it's supposedly easier than earth magic.

All right. Did you even manage to learn anything of that earth magic?

Just the awareness of the earth. I can raise a few rocks, but not much beyond that yet.

It's kinda like when I first started phasing... it's definitely gonna take a while to get the hang of it, but I'm sure it'll be more than worth it!

Does that mean you're done being one with nature for a while?

Oh yeah. I mean, I love nature and all that... but I missed civilization. And just generally, food that isn't instant ramen and dried fruit.

...you made ramen in the forest? How, exactly?

Over a campfire? I couldn't make anything once the rain set in, but it wasn't that hard to make.

Healing magic is a good choice! Not only is it easy to learn, but we seem to need it a lot, around here.

I don't mind the rain, either. It's a nice balance to the heat waves and even if we hadn't had those, it wouldn't matter to me. Rain is cleansing.

It does seem that way.

Cleansing... I'll have to remember that one! I like the rain, but that's only because I'm so used to walking to school in it. And learning how to fish... heck, name it, and I've probably done it in the rain.

At least you're one of the few around here who doesn't complain about it, then. I don't understand the fuss about something that only lasts for a day or two. We still have plenty of sunshine here.

I can understand where they're coming from, but Luceti's weather is the opposite of home. I like rain and all, but it's the sunshine I appreciate more because it's rare for me.

I did! I wish someone'd told me about these spirits earlier.

So now I have to be all, "oh, and is there anything cool about this place you didn't tell me about? Because I'm a newb and don't know anything?"

Back from bein' out there with nature, huh?

Yep! It was pretty fun, to be honest.

Because even if we don't have cell phones, these journals pretty much take their place. Leaving it behind was kinda refreshing, but I don't think I'll be doing it anytime soon.

Awesome! If you had a good time, that's what counts! Nice to get away once in a while!

'You working on that Filial magic we got here?

Heh, isn't that right.

That was the whole reason I left! You should be able to put me down as a healer in a month or so, actually. Kairi and I are gonna go learn it soon, and knowing me? We'll probably be working on it like crazy.
