My best friend finally had her baby! 30 hours in labor and they finally decided to do a c-section. The whole thing was pretty rough but i stayed the entire time, swapping places on the pull out bed with my friend's husband so someone would be awake all the time in case she needed anything. she was making steady progress over 24 hours but then she got up to 7 centemeters and just wasnt moving any farther. the baby was bigger than they thought, and then mom developed an infection and the baby's heart beat started doing strange things. Mahala didnt want a c-section so i think they tried to let her go as long as she could and then just realized it wasnt working. But everyone's happy and healthy and thats all that matters

Congrats to you Auntie. You look so cute with your new little niece. That's right, I used the c word. What you going to do about it? :P LOL!!! Don't forget to spoil her when she gets older.

oh i'm not going to wait till she gets older to spoil her. lol. i've got baby magic. she was crying her poor little head off today and all i did was pick her up and bounce her a little bit and she went right to sleep

I have that same magic. My oldest sister use to give me her kids when they were babies and wouldn't stop crying. All I needed was 10-15 minutes and they would be sleeping soundly. It's a gift.

HOLY SHIT that's a big baby!!, no wonder they had to d a C-section, that porr porr woman! someone should slap the fuck out of those docs!

they estimated she'd be at least 7 or 8 pounds. she ended up being almost 9. 8lbs 8ozs. There was a bunch of other stuff that happened to that made me wonder why they didnt do the c-section earlier than they did. Instead of letting mom go through all the shit she went through.
