11 years ago tonight, at about 10:30 PM. I got a page, from the nursing home, that my Dad was supposed to be recovering in. They said he had died. The first thing I did was call Kim, and told her my Dad was Dead and to tell Chad, I would not be over to our apartment to help him clean. Then I called Dawn, and she met me at the nursing home. I'm so very sorry for your loss and your pain, Ray. Life is tough sometimes. We've all had such pain. Some more than others. We all suffer deeply, eventually, and in many different ways. More the reason to appreciate the good things as and when they come, the people in our lives, and to be the best we can be.

Thanks Ed. For the great sentiments. I am very thankful for the couple close friends that I do have and my family. Things are looking up. Christmas I started talking to my biological mother and I have a sister who has never met me. So, I am thankful for that and praying things go well when she finds out about me. And even though you and I do not talk that often. I think about you and wish you well.

I'm so sorry you had to lose your parents too soon. I'm so happy to have you in my life. I'm so happy the kids have you too since they don't really have alot of close family in their lives. I hope if and when the kids have kids that we'll live close by and I'll be able to be the kind of Grandma I never had and they don't have. I wish Mike's parents lived closer in that respect.

Thanks Eileen. You have been one of the few consistent people in my life for over 20 years. No matter what happened. Even when we weren't speaking or mad at each other. We always made up and became better friends afterward. Blood doesn't always make a family. Sometimes Ties do. And we have been through a lot of stuff both good and bad. I love your kids like they were my actual family. Your family enriches my life in so many ways. You will make a great G-Ma! I am really glad that your immediate family is so close to each other. Ian and Hanna will end up being really great friends as adults.
