And now I can stop pretending I don't know who wrote my story, yay! Thank youuu! :D It was so nice to get pre-Return Damon back, and I really liked how you acknowledged the innate cheesiness of a lot of his lines but still made him sensual and sexy. Like, Damon is just a total cheesefest in the books and that's just how he talks and acts, but, like a really bad horror movie, he is so committed that he swings THROUGH cheesy back around to awesome, and I don't think anyone else has ever handled the "Did he seriously just say that shit to me? Wow, that was fucking corny what do you think I- HELLOOOO let's have sex you sexy man." aspect of Damon's character (but then again, I don't usually read fic unless prompted, so maybe someone else already did, no offense to that writer if so).

I'm glad you liked it. I was worried I was going a bit too cheesy. Damon reminds me of a guy who literally just figured out what 'innuendo' is, and as such needs to use it as bluntly and clumsily as possible, all of the time. But he's also, you know, gorgeous, so it works. Sort of.

Thank you to everyone who wrote for LJSanta this year! It's always nice to have little reminders that the old book fandom isn't completely dead. (We're just hibernating like some eldritch monster. Yeah, that's it.)

YAAAAY LJSanta! I'm so glad you ran it this year because LJS was my first fandom (oh so many years ago now) and it's so nice to write for and come back to now that I'm all adult and stuff.
