I get a lot in interpreting these from examining not just the particular one of sixteen outcomes but the degree of balance between the polarized choices. For example, aethyrflux has a mean difference of 29% between his endorsement of the two extremes.

actually, it really wasn't me (and you don't you don't have to pay up with cash)! and although i really should apply more statistical analysis to these sorts of things, i was actually criticizing the anonynous poster's theory that balance between the poles was necessarilly a good thing. for instance, in some jobs or under certain conditions, a particular preference for one pole or another is appropriate. however, in other fields or situations, a balance can be beneficial...
