the best way to get a ticket is to throw yourself into everything and be very helpful and make people want to find you a ticket. it worked for garreth. and before march he knew no one. he met bob and i by doing lights for wilhelm reich in hell. and he's just found a ticket.
volunteer, make your self indespensible. be visable.
that's the best advice i can give.

Have you signed up on the austin-burning and flipside email lists? Last year I saw tons of people who got tickets.

yeah, there are even more people on bob's list this year, so i just have to be crazier than the rest of those folks if i want to get a ticket that way!
but i do have the added advantage of actually living in austin, which many of the people on bob's list do not...
so, i can go and volunteer my services to one of the local camps, etc.
one way or another, i'll see you there, eh?!

Yes... definitely get on the lists. I know for a fact there are tickets being unloaded all the time, you jsut gotta be in the right place at the right time... so you better learn to be omnipotent... Goddess willing you will be at Flipside. From what I have seen, most people prefer spontaneous creativity and insane silliness when they are wanting to unload a ticket... have you offered to be someone's slave yet? ;)
