As an underwater map maker I agree with the other people who have said it looks like compression or a hoax. I also don't think they've shown us the best images if it's true that they have seen a pyramid and the ruins of peer and beam construction. I don't see those things in those images and those images are not of high enough resolution to believe anyway. Regardless, the pictures seem to warrant some further investigation. With the "facts" given in the article it seems unscientific to jump to the conclusion of an underwater ancient city, though that may be what's needed to get funding.
