COLD

Jan 05, 2014 07:33

It is 7:30 am and the temperature is -32 C but with the windchill it feels like -44C! Not as cold as Winnipeg a few days ago when temps with the windchill felt like -55 C!!!! I definitely won't be taking Maggie for a walk today, I just hope my Jeep starts. I am have to get gas today and am dreading that. Stay warm people.

It warmed up during the day. In fact it is warmer at 9:30 pm than it was this morning.

Wind chill was -51c this morning. I'm going out to buy cat food. I'd sooner face the cold than 3 angry felines!

Burrr. I have to agree. Braving the cold is better than facing 3 angry cats. Try to stay warm.

Do you have a garage you keep the jeep in? Does that help?

I know in Alaska they have engine warmers, you plug in your vehicle. I know very little else, though.

The Jeep lives in the garage so it started no problem. I think every car in sold in Canada comes with a block heater, but sometimes even that isn't enough. I had to boost the truck so that Hubby could head back up north.

The cold all over was so terrible! Except for us. We had a warm up. I enjoyed the reprieve. Now we're back into the minuses again - typical, but still it's getting old. Cabin fever has grabbed many of us. :/

We are enjoying a bit of a warm up right now. Walking is treacherous but it's nice not to have to bundle up quite so much. I'm ready for spring already!
