k_valentine en route from Chicago to San Jose, he packed some ABJD guns in his carry on. Security thought it was the real deal. He was being questioned if they actually fire and had to prove they were simply toys.

Not like he packed his Master's Megatron.

ABJD? I might be misinterpreting the initials, but doesn't that mean that they were miniature guns? Well, at least a smaller scale than a replica would be. Really. I mean, I know that they have to take their jobs seriously and all that, but how is a tiny little plastic or die-cast metal toy gonna be a threat? Sheesh.

*snrrk* In San Jose they have this looping advisory on the monitors above the security checkpoint queue, and it specifically states "no guns, or gun replicas" and every single time I walk through there I think, "aww, no Masterpiece Megs ...?"

ABJD = Asian Ball Jointed Dolls.

They were guns suitable for action figures / dolls. k_valentine picked up a few in Chicago. Since they were small on a 1/4 scale, they let it through. Yet, I remember going through security and they thought they were loaded and fire.

Yup, you can blame Megatron's G1 alt. mode for the sole reason why toy guns are banned.

Hah, SJC...I fly from LAX to SJC all the time! Tiny airport is tiny.

What? Octane wanted some company, and I wanted a nap. It was a win-win situation.
