When I was in my mid-teens, they used to show the Victory at Sea reruns on the PBS station in Phoenix. My mom told me that she and fellow music students watched the show in the fifties just to listen to the celebrated musical score. I sort of knew about the Night on Bald Mountain history, but not in detail. Still I'm not bothered by friends stitching up brilliant ideas out of necessity, but the Rodgers thing strikes me as a little dishonest. Promotion via celebrity name recognition, and all that.
