Yesterday Alli and I bonded over a mutual aggression towards a man who wouldn't shut up, wouldn't stop whining, and kept calling his wife "dear heart". We picked so many farm fresh veggies that I am up to my ears in freezing and preparing veggie meals that my family will eat. I loved the experience and couldn't have spent my $10 better. Although

I feel like crap today as well. I got a little bit of a burn and am definitely still dehydrated. Lesson learned, bring water. I think I'm probably just worn out from the 3 hours of digging and picking veggies. Although, to be fair, it could be the 1/4 ton of sand I shoveled into to my truck this morning that's dragging me down too. It was fun, I'm looking forward to next time. I'm going to spend the afternoon pickling beets.

I hope you get a chance to enjoy your bike this week. (And you can keep your dollar for the water.)

I got a little burn as well. And the lack of water and the digging. Yesterday I flopped down on the couch after a short bike ride to the grocery store and commented to John that although the work didn't feel exhausting at the time I was wiped. I bet the 1/4 ton of sand did a number on you....geez... I'm spending the day blanching carrots, corn, and green beans. Don't know yet what I'm going to do with my beets. Thanks for the water, the ride, and the morning. Oh, and let's not forget the vital stop for coffee. :)

I almost think I could get a group of ten of us ladies together to go and pick our hearts content of veggies...perhaps I'll arrange that. I invited myself to go along with Alli and her friends this time. heh

Absolutely. I'm spending today blanching and freezing veggies so I can go again sooner rather than later.

Miller farms http://www.millerfarms.net/events.html#Fall%20Harvest%20Festival it's at that link under Fall Harvest festival. It's $10 per person if you have a group of 10 people. It's $15 per person if you have less than that. You get more than your monies worth of veggies.

The princess' class went there last year for a field trip we had a great time. I made some yummy french onion soup. =] And with you talking about it, now I want to go again.
