So, I seem to have all the parts in stock. I ran into a little snag with the pedals that I ordered off of eBay. They were threaded for one piece cranks (1/2"), and Old Schwinny has two piece cranks, and takes a 9/16" thread on the pedals. Very cool. If you want help restoring the components to a factory shine, I can do that. I have aluminum polishing abilities that would make American Airlines proud.

After the frame is powder coated, I'd recommend coating the inside with framesaver (spray on linseed oil). It will prevent the frame from rusting from the inside.

Excellent! I may just take you up on that offer... my handle bars, seat post, cranks, derailleurs, hub... all these need some TLC.

I have new pedals on the way, they look new and shiny already, the seat is already refinished, and of course the frame will be powder-coated...

It's gonna be so cool... :D
