Road Trip!

I am taking the day of the 21st of July off. I have a doc's appt. later in the day, and I decided to take the rest of the day as a mental health day.

If you want vintage style bar tape without buying actual old tape, fizik makes a modern tape (in many colors) that looks like perforated suede tape:

I was able to find both PLUS real pedals on eBay. The saddle is the exact one I replaced myself years ago. I had the original (it had a rip in it though...). I also found the Hunt-Wilde tape produced under the Schwinn brand that was used for these bikes...

It's all coming together. :)

I highly recommend taking the time to eat at French Laundry while you're in Fenton. My best friend lives in the area, and she and her family took me there. It's a bit like Zingerman's, and obviously has great food.

As much as I'd like to, I'm hoarding (spelling?) my time off because we have several vacations/mini-breaks in the queue, not to mention doing crap around the house (yes, I've been known to take the occasional day off to do housework/home repairs).

Now, if you wanted to meet up there for dinner, that could be arranged...
