Why do you think we always go to our local hardware store before the big box Home Depot? Because they have long-term employees that work there who sincerely care about helping their customers and are extremely knowledgeable about their product line. We're willing to pay extra if we have to based on customer service alone.

We are increasingly frequenting "local" businesses, as opposed to mass corporate ones, for this very reason (caveat: I don't want to imply that all incorporated businesses are bad...). Good customer service is not the norm in this country anymore, and I like to hope that those people that value it will recognize which companies and/or individuals have it and shop accordingly for products and services.

Hence the reason for this post. John and his team are doing a good thing in a corporate world where it is all too easy for one consumer to get lost in the shuffle.

I don't know how many people I can reach with just this one post, but I am definitely impressed, and grateful... so I needed to share.
