The problem with this is simple: when it's friends (of friends) hanging out in a house or basement, it's a party, but when it's all and sundry paying $25-30 at the door it's a meat-market bar atmosphere, especially with that dress to impress line. I had fun at that house party, but there's no way I'd buy a ticket to a hall for the same thing.
