Sora is asleep on his bed, limbs outstretched and tangled in blankets and sheets. His mouth is slightly open and there might even be a bit of saliva hanging out of the corner.

The room is dark, save for a crack of light from beneath the doorway leading to the hall.

Riku's not having such a great time sleeping, himself.

It's not the fact he's on the floor. The fact it's a clean floor, a arpeted floor, makes it a drastic improvement over where he has to sleep sometimes. It's also not the fact that he'd had to go to sleep earlier than he's used to... that was kind of a blessing.

No. It's the fact he's having a nightmare.

The subject of the nightmare could be any number of things, but the result is quite clear. A bit violent, at that - some flailing in his sleep, thumping the pillow, and now, a wordless shout.

This kid is not having a good time.

Sora is a deep sleeper, so it takes a lot to wake him up. He does shift in his position, though -- which basically means, rolling over onto one side of the bed, arm hanging over the edge.

He makes a snoring sound, like an abrupt intake of air, then he's back in his dreams.

Riku can still sense some things, even when he's asleep. And that arm is sensed as a possible threat, and transferred to his dream world as something not so good.

In his sleep, he reachs out, grabbing Sora's arm and pulling on it.

Well, if that doesn't wake Sora, nothing will.

Being yanked out of bed -- since he is pretty much teeter-tottering over the side -- is not something one wants to experience.

He collapses over the edge, landing on the ground with a rather startling thump in a flurry of limbs.

"Hey! What the --" he yelps.
