26 - What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you've had to research for a fic?
One of the more interesting ones was researching single malt whiskies - Irish and Welsh - and the price of rare vintages of Irish Whiskey. I think the oddest and funnest thing I've *done* in the cause of fic research is going to a car dealership a fair distance from my home to see the Citroën C6 when I had no intention of buying one, purely to ascertain if Ianto would have liked it as a car to replace his Audi. While I got to sit in it and switch the engine on, I did stop short of asking for a test drive but I still reached the conclusion that yes, Ianto would love the car! I spend quite a fair amount of time on various car websites sorting out the right set of wheels for the character - including looking at vans! Bit of a petrol head, me.
Oh and I also researched British Earthquakes for my Torchwood 4 series - I suppose that's pretty odd for some people, but it was great fun for me!
