Yeah, it's too much to ask ;-) Seriously, even when I'm not pregnant, I didn't get the house clean every day. Having 2 kids and having to run errands that really is a full time job. Think about me, it's my 'job' to watch 2 kids and I get almost nothing done in the day. It's just the way it is.

I try not to run errands more than once a week. That doesn't mean that I only leave the house once a week. (See my journal for my plan this week) But I limit how much I go out (gas is expensive) and as a result, most of the time a tank of gas will last me 2 weeks. I always try to plan errands for a day I'm already going to be out because then it's only a lost day instead of several lost mornings or whatever.

I know that it can be done though. I have returned to flylady. That's the only way my house is organized at all.

I used to do all of my errands in one day, on Friday, when I had nothing else going and it worked... until I ran out of steam. Now by Friday I'm totally wiped out. So the plus side is that I spend no money, but it also means we have no food.

My schedule is (usually) Monday at home, Tuesday is library for story time, Weds is play group, Thursday is the mall for another interactive story time and Friday at home or going out to a store or two. If I were driving the truck, it would be SO expensive, but the car gets like 28mpg so that's not too bad. But the problem becomes that Monday, Weds we're for sure out of the house in the evening and 2 Tuesdays a month, plus 2 Thursdays a month we're gone too. *sigh* It's a lot, but staying home these past few weekends has been lovely.

Oh and the baby shower is being moved to another weekend, just as an FYI. NOW I'm off to church to man the nursery for a funeral.

I have a feeling Brian thinks the same thing sometimes...but in two weeks I'm leaving him for an entire afternoon with Abigail while I go knit socks :-) I'm hoping that will give him better insight.

It's because when he is home I have a bit more time to be on the computer and knit and whatever. So he sees me being lazy while he's at home....and it's easy to believe what you see.... ;)

He's always trying to make things easier for me, but he forgets that I have both of them all the time so I can handle things while I've got both of them.

I don't even have time to knit when he is home because I'm still the one who has most of the responsibility for Abigail. I'm really hoping that an entire afternoon with her will make him realize that I need a real break in the evenings.
