e-mail alerts?

Mar 04, 2012 11:54

Up until recently, I would receive an e-mail of someone made a comment in a post, or made a comment to one of my comments anywhere on LJ.

Those e-mails are no longer coming through. I have checked my settings and those checkboxes are checked.

Anyone else having this problem?

Not me. Did you check your spam filter?

Also, what service are you using for email?

Bright.net same address I have had since February 1996.

I'll call them up tomorrow and ask if Livejournal is being blocked.

Mmm, good idea. LJ is still listed on Spamhaus, BTW, so if they've started using that now, maybe that's why.

I just logged into the bright.net website then checked the spam filtering. It appears I never set it up, however I was able to add lj-notify@livejournal.com to allow it through. I will see if that makes a difference, otherwise, I suppose I could e-mail tech support and ask that way.

Sounds like my ISP may be blocking them. Perhaps because they come from Russia?

I'm getting them about 24 hours after they're posted.

Hmm, it has been weeks since I got a notification. I bet my ISP is blocking them.

I will call them tomorrow.

I got this response fast enough. Sometimes I just seem to get delays with my email.

Some are coming through, some late. Bit patchy the last 48 hours.

Mine come through hours later or not at all.

If the Lj staff focuses more on making sure things worked properly, and less on making the site like facebook, things would be a lot better.

They also need to lose every community that starts with ontd.
