A/N: So, yeah. Throwing my name in for consideration for first Korra fic writer (although I'm sure I lost to someone). It should go without saying that I pulled most of this out of my ass.

Um... I kind of love this? :D Even if you pulled most of it out of your ass, as you said, and canon may well come along and tear this to shreds, I really enjoyed reading it. I like the Buffy/Giles-like dynamic between Korra and Tenzin, and how she has to keep the fact that she's an Avatar hidden because of all the anti-bender sentiment.

tl;dr If the real series ends up being anything like this, I will be SO HAPPY.

Thank you so much! I was pretty happy with how it turned out (especially for basically just sitting down at the computer and whipping it up in half an hour), but I was still really nervous, what with so much of it being my own creation.

I WAS REALLY HOPING YOU WOULD COMMENT NGL.

And yeah, I feel like that would be a major thing; if benders are the enemy, than the Avatar would have to be...well, it certainly wouldn't work in your favor to be known as the Avatar. Of course, given Korra's apparently bold disposition, I can't see her being very happy with that, either.

I'm having too much fun with the username so... XD; Every chance I get to squee about Korra is good. :] especially Fanfic.

I wonder that it's a mix of benders of all nations (plz) and non-benders, and then anti-benders. I'd like to see Korra try to keep a low profile Zuko in BSS style. It'd be really cool to watch her struggle with that- so I agree that she'd be like "o-o#" annoyed with it.

Omigosh the Zuko in BSS thing gives me even more ideas. I can see Korra and Tenzin walking down a street somewhere, wearing regular, inconspicuous clothing, when some anti-bender fanatic appears and starts preaching a them. Korra's all, "RAGERAGE" and Tenzin is very calm and difuses the situation and teaches Korra a moral afterwards.

I think there's definite possibilities to an Iroh and Zuko type relationship between them.

I really hope now that the relationship between Korra and Tenzin is similar to what you wrote, because I loved it here.

Also, the idea of Korra having to hide that she's the Avatar is a good point, I hadn't thought of that before.

I totally love this. :D I really feel Korra's frustration because I'm wondering how the hell you fight an idea too. And like da_phoenix said, I like the Buffy/Giles-like dynamic between them. Great job! :)

I like how I managed a dynamic based on two characters I have no familiarity with...*has never watched Buffy* Still, I like that everyone else likes it!

Interesting take on the information we have so far.

Im developing an image of Korra, a girl who when faced with a tougher opponent, simply knees them in the nuts...and I'm loving this image.

I'd have to say I am also loving this/that image. I feel like part of Korra's character development, especially of she's as hot-headed and brash as Bryke's statements make her seem, is going to be learning that you can't always solve your problems by beating someone up.
