I just sat and read the first 13 chapters in one go and I must tell you this story is fantastic! You've come up with a very plausible AU plotline, and the characterizations are amazingly done. Everyone from Kirk and Spock, to Bones, to Uhura and Scotty, and Chekov and Sulu, not to mention Pike..... are wonderfully in character. And your description of the cultural and societal divide on Earth is very interesting. I love how Kirk affects Spock, and vice versa. And the Orions on Earth..... very clever twist. Can't wait to read more!
