I am in awe

I'm sitting here sorting clothes. Baby clothes, to be exact. Yes, I'm up at almost three am doing this. I'm waiting for Mikel to come back from taking what has turned out to be a long walk (although hopefully there's been quite a bit of rest in there for the walk) in thirty some degree weather, so I figured I might as well be productive. Here's to donated clothes though! I still have a bag to sort through myself from a client's mom who also had a girl this summer...and although I try to resist the urge to buy, I DID get Teagan another preemie outfit and an extra pair of pants so she'd have more than one pair of pants to wear with the massive amount of onesies she owns...it is chilly here, rvrn in the house. And the gifts keep coming!

I never mentioned that I love the name Madison! What a terrific name. And I need your address, please send to pt8912 at yahoo. And can't wait to see your lil one. We can be up in te middle of the night together! =)

Oh yes, donated clothes are definitely tops in my book. The cool thing is, if we'd had a boy, another firefighter has a bunch of boy clothes he would have given us. So we were covered either way! Sometimes I just can't resist some baby things that I see in the store. I will definitely be buying her one of the Christmas dresses I saw the other day. I gave one to the baby of a friend last year, and she looked so adorable. We ended up with about 18 onesies from this one person, even. We won't be short of them at all ( ... )

As much as John can be an asshat, at least he's got some decent friends. I like seeing stuff like this because it speaks of a vibrant sense of community, something that I very much appreciate.

I totally agree that it's great. The thing I like best about being married to a firefighter is how close that small group of people is at the fire station. I don't even know most of them very well at all, and yet I know that they'll be there if I need them. I think that's really great. It's definitely something for which to be thankful.

It's amazing what baby clothes will do, just looking through them even. It certainly helped to lighten the mood a little bit when those clothes came out.

Oh, I know. It definitely did make things a little cheerier. Cool baby clothes!

Now I can just hope that Madison doesn't look like an alien.

You know, now that I think about it, Jim's comment works perfectly with Doug's comment that one time he felt my stomach move when he was half asleep. Alien. Hmm.

You can never have enough baby clothes.

I can't wait to see her either! Bummer that I can't do it right away, what with school and all. That's no fair! So I get extra time with her when I come, which I might try to do one of the weekends right after.
