Don't take this question the wrong way, it's meant in earnest.

Do you trust this post? Is this a real situation that someone's describing? I only ask because snopes.com has whole pages full of sad stories, a lot of which aren't true.

That said, if this is someone you know personally, or at least someone you'd vouch for, I'd be happy to give and happy to pass the link along.

I totally understand your question, don't worry. But I wouldn't have put the link up if I didn't completely trust it. While the woman who put up the LJ post isn't a friend, she is the friend of one of my good LJ friends. I'd say that yes, I'll definitely vouch.

It looks like they're two thirds of the way there after a news story was done on them, and the bank extended their deadline to January 1.

I already gave at work and I work in charity this Christmas season, so I've put in a lot of work into cases like this around this time.

That being said, one less graphic novel/part of a video game/rpg book for me is better than these people losing their house.
