Well, this was at the time when only about 5% of population knew what a search engine is. And if you don't have that, the back of a cereal box is not that unusual place to look for useful/entertaining information. Of course, my favorite is still doing it on toilet paper, but you take what you get...

Erm. Communication failure. The box was purchased within the past 1-2 months. The '8-year-old' hypothesis was an attempt to generously allow for the possibility that the, err, interesting, "travel tips" weren't written by someone confused, time-traveling, or in a coma since 2002.

1. is most disturbing, though you have no proof it is that old. maybe they just took packaging from 8 years ago and were too lazy to pay someone to make new designs.

Maybe it was cereal designed for a 3rd world english speaking nation. not everyone has internets.
