I'm with you. I just don't see it. I don't get it and I don't plan on getting it either.

I even tried to read the books before the first film ever came out...and could make it past the first couple of pages...

By my own expectations of myself, I cannot properly judge "Twilight" until I have read it. I'd be putting myself in the same categories as the people who said "Harry Potter" was evil and that "Brokeback Mountain" was just a gay cowboy movie (not forgiving you for that one, Dad). And damnit, I'll read the stupid book if it means I can rip it to pieces in a nice and meaningful and figurative way.

I remember the first time someone told me about it. My exact response was, "let me tell you what I'm looking for in a fucking vampire".

those are really great articles, by the way.

And taibhrigh, at least you got the chance to try to read it. My younger friends won't even let me borrow it (probably because they know how much I love to argue this stuff).

"Sparkle tits" and "Hot dog" it was worth it to read the reviews for those two descriptions. lol!

I've watched the movies out of curiosity but when it comes to angsty vampires, you can't beat Nick Knight...

Or Anne Rice's Louis.

And, I maintain that vampires do not sparkle!
