You know what I would love? Good places for going out to breakfast in NE Seattle! I don't go out for breakfast that often but it sure would be nice to have some solid places. Today we went to Hattie's and it was great, but it's over in Ballardia. I'd love to find something closer for when my folks or other out of town guests are here. ( Read more... )

The Sunlight Cafe is a good place to get brunch on the weekends. Also a place that is closer to your house is Kona Kitchen on 5th Ave NE. And one more that I only went to once but I thought was pretty good is the Crepe Cafe on 65th, in the Ravenna neighborhood.

We've eaten at Kona Kitchen before for dinner, super salty and everything was meatloaf or covered with gravy. They do good breakfast?

I ate breakfast there a couple of times and thought it was ok. It is Hawaiian style so things might be over fried rice instead of potatoes. And there will most certainly be spam on the menu. I think you need to go there with the mindset that it is not going to be a traditional american breakfast.

What Gomer said. I also like the Continental in the U-District a lot, but Gomer isn't as fond of it as I am. I love the pesto omelet there and I pretty much get that 90% of the times I visit. Their coffee's not very good though.

Pinehurst Pub I never thought about for food. I haven't been there in many years, I think the last time was with Caroline.

And while you can get an entire kielbasa, the question is, can you eat an entire kielbasa? :)
