I decided that, while I enjoy the mental break of walking/running on a treadmill while watching tv shows on my iPhone, I don't think it's doing all that much for my body shape or posture. Weight lifting is really the way to go, I think. And I keep reading that free weights and using your own body weight resistance is better than the machines. So

I like weight training because the impact of jogging is kind of rough on me. It feels good to be strong. Good luck ! :)

It is great to be outside, working out in a park. I have been doing things I never thought I could. I think the closest would be Volunteer Park for you. I believe there is at least one other group that offers this type of class in Seattle
