Could someone explain to me how a comm like statements (which is a comm simply for posting single declarative sentences - the more random, the better) could end up with wank?

To summarize what's going on here, statements member mutales posted a statement about finding spankfics in Supernatural fandom a little disturbing. Apparently someone in the SPN spankfic comm linked
