I feel sorry for Stephen, feeling so left out at the meeting and at the ARC.

I loved your reference to the scene with Abby jumping towards Stephen when they got that pteranodon back to its time.

Yes, poor Stephen feels very out of place! Glad you enjoyed it.

Poor old Stephen, it must feel like one step forwards, two steps back at times.

Recovering from injuries is hard, both physically and mentally! It's nice that I can play around with the characters more than a tv show would allow me to do.

This really captures Stephen's frustrations and how slow the recovery process is.

Thanks; that's what I'm going for here!

Poor Stephen... this feels very real, the fact that it's taking so long to recocer (instead of the usual fanfic "with a single bound he was well" stuff :)

And the way Lester runs a metting... is so him.

Hee! I think fanfic is one of the few places where one can (sometimes) really see people recovering. On an actual show, they either die, or they bounce right back. (The main exception I can think of right now is Babylon 5, where Ivanova's foot took weeks to heal-but that was because the actress had broken her foot in real life!)

The same happened in Criminal Minds - except that the opening episode of S5 had two characters injured - the one who was hurt (and worse, really) in the last episode of S4 recovered with the usual TV speed, and the one who was shot in the leg in the opening episode (a last minute rewrite as the actor did his leg dancing) took waaaayyyyy longer to get off the crutches...

Poor Stephen. I don't blame him for being frustrated - he's far too used to being active to take this slow recovery very happily. But at least he's making progress.

Stephen resisted the temptation to point out to Cutter that some people knew how to make a guy feel welcome on his first day back at work.

Awww! *g*

It's hard to see progress when you keep looking at how much further you have to go.
