Hoo boy! Summer has given me more time for tv, including a new obsession (for which I totally blame LJ friends, and I would blame you by name if I remembered properly). I hope you will read the parts for any shows you watch, and discuss, even if you haven't seen some of these eps in a while! Just skip the ones that don't interest you. Don't let the

I haven't seen any of the New Who *skips!*
I love WC...I think it's very well done, that characters are awesome and the cons are brilliant. I'm having a good time with this show. The dynamic between Neal and Peter sometimes remind me of MacGyver and Dalton, lol! and June - LOVE her! Well...it's an awesome little show!
*hugs you*

I can understand how people don't like Shawn, but I feel a little sad that you can't get the enjoyment I can! Seriously, though, if not for years of acquaintance with Younger Brother-in-Law, I don't know that I could like Shawn.
I need to get some White Collar icons. I just love those characters! The trouble is choosing: which characters, which shots....

*Coughs* I could say the same about you avoiding SPN because of the heartbreak - you watch WHO, ferchrissakes, lol!!
There are several white collar comms out there that are worth looking in to. If you'd like I can get you some names.
*hugs you*

Doctor Who when I started watching killed people off very, very rarely. I still remember being absolutely shocked when they killed a companion-even though I wasn't all that fond of him. It's only new Who that kills characters all the time, and I'm hoping that ended when RTD left!

Thanks for pointing me to the Month of June! I just read one of those stories yesterday at AO3, actually, probably after I posted: "A Party at June's by facetofcathy, and I loved it. I'm trying to pace myself through the others!
ETA: Gratuitous edit to substitute my new White Collar icon. It's not the best, but it will do for now.

SJA - I had to check, but we're only up to S3 here. I'm not sure if I've even seen the whole of S3, but there is one adorable episode that would almost make me buy it on DVD. *g*
DW - Haaven't seen all of the DT specials. Mostly because I don't want DT to leave, and I am in no way whatsoever seeing the appeal of Matt Smith. Meh.
White Collar - Yeah, that was me. I've discovered that I can work around my Main Characters being Bad Guys, so long as they're working for the Great Good. However, Neal Caffrey is smary and arrogant and (mostly) not giving a damn about the Greater Good. He put me off to the extent that I didn't even watch long enough to get the resolution to the Girlfriend Mystery (and usually I'll watch / read anything to get the resolution to a Mystery such as that). Just ick. Sorry! And I wanted to like it - the premise was right there. But no. :(

I see Neal Caffrey very differently than you do. I don't know what episodes you've seen, but Neal takes a serious risk in "The Book of Hours" (s1, ep 3) to give some comfort to a homeless man who can't in any way help him in return. He also puts himself at risk repeatedly partly because he enjoys the game, but partly to help people-he's horrified that he feels he accidentally put a model at risk in the second episode. (The FBI was more at fault than he was.) I think Neal doesn't so much care about the Greater Good, but he does care about people, and he's learning to care more about people outside himself and his girlfriend. He is pretty arrogant, but I think some of that is covering some insecurity. I don't like the Girlfriend Mystery much, actually. That might be partly a result of watching s1 and s2 simultaneously, so I know some major developments without knowing how we got there, but it just seems a ( ... )
