Fog everywhere. [open]

Who: Izlude Tingel, open to anyone else if they want to pop in.
Where: Outside.
When: The day after his arrival.
What: Getting slightly lost thanks to the fog, on his way to his new room.
Warnings: None.

A day had passed and there were new instructions to follow - returning to Ivalice seemed unlikely. Traveling to Aegean, Izlude had been sure of his goal once he reached his destination. There were questions, but they could wait. Ivalice couldn't.

Now he no longer knew what he was dealing with, only that he would stay where he was needed. Ivalice was safe from the threat he'd thought the kingdom faced - that was good news. But that two years had gone by? It was too strange, and he wondered how and why. Was the Ramza he had spoken with really from his future? And Delita's sister from the past...

Izlude didn't know Ramza well as a person, outside of a one-time opponent. Still, he could see that Ramza was a man of integrity after all, and Izlude doubted that he would lie about these things. His talk of demons and demonic power had seemed blasphemous or perhaps simply madness at the time, but Izlude now knew how true it had been.

... Had he heard a sudden noise nearby? He gripped the hilt of his sword and tried to make out any shapes through the fog that still hung in the air. Its thickness made it difficult to see at all. It didn't help matters, when one's mind was occupied with the possibility that any "peculiar creatures" could easily remain hidden while they lay in wait. How could he fight something he could not see?

And perhaps he only imagined it, but the fog seemed so thick that it was as though there was almost no actual air left. For a moment, he was reminded of struggling to breathe, and blood and darkness.

He stopped to glance around again. Had he strayed from the path he should have taken?
