Who: Link and anyone who wants to see him hungover and confused.
When: Midday-ish, the day after prom
Where: Around the Dorms
What: Link recovering from prom
Warnings: Getting sick and possibly many awkward moments. (Link got very drunk at prom from the spiked punch, and is now regretting it.) VERY LONG POST
Link awoke with his head pounding and his stomach churning. The sunlight that was now shining in his eyes wasn't helping. He put his hand over his eyes and carefully sat up where he was laying.
He had been lying next to the dorm building. He didn't know why he didn't wake up in his bed, or even how he had gotten there. He also found it odd that he didn't have his normal clothes on. When he looked down at himself, he noticed that he was wearing a green button-up shirt, black slacks, a black jacket, and scuffed black shoes. It took him a few seconds, but he was able to remember that he had gone to prom the previous night.
Then he remembered that he had taken someone there with him.
He looked around frantically, trying to look for the girl that he had taken to prom with him. (He remembered that she was named after some sort of fruit. Peach, maybe?) Moving his head in such fast motions however caused his head to feel like it was about to explode and it almost triggered his gag reflex. Fortunately, he was able to keep whatever it was in his stomach down.
Sitting with his head between his knees, Link tried to remember how he had gotten where he was and why he felt like he was dying. He remembered his date, and he remembered another girl that he left he talking to. He remembered seeing...Sheik, which was strange. He'd hacve to talk to Zelda about that. Then he remembered...her. That promiscuous woman that seemed to be stalking him. She had given him punch.
The punch!
Link now recalled that the punch had tasted funny. Maybe it had been poisoned. Thinking back, he could vaguely remember Sheik telling his date not to drink any of it, and now Link was regretting that he hadn't listened to him. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't remember anything after meeting up with Noriko and drinking the punch she had given him. It's as if he was suddenly knocked out and someone had carried him over to where he now sat.
He tried to stand up to get back to his room where he could close the blinds and try to sleep off the monstrous headache and awful stomach pains, but he couldn't do it. His vision was blurred from the throbbing that was taking place in his skull, and his stomach didn't seem to think that standing was a good idea either. The hero leaned against the wall and sat down, rubbing his temples and waiting for some of the discomfort to go away so he could move.
He hoped that he wasn't the only one effected by the poisoned punch.
