Erika pulled a face as she tapped on the screen of her cell phone. It didn't seem to matter how much she tinkered with the wiring on the inside. It just wasn't going to work. All she'd wanted to do was call the family at home and let them know how she was doing. Perhaps she really was that far away. And no amount of altering was going to change the distance capabilities.
She warped her expression and when she flipped it closed, her chin lifted and she drew her attention onto the first poster, more interested in reading it, than paying attention to her surroundings.
"The handsome professor Basch fon Ronsenburg--" She tapped the base of her chin thoughtfully, "I guess he is handsome..." Then she silently read through the rest and broke into giggles, "Really?? He's looking for a date?? Hee! Mister Basch, looking for a date!"
Or maybe it was a ploy. The only way to really find out was to follow the posters and see where they led.

What did catch his attention, however, was a bright spark of green hair loitering about one of the many telephone poles Vaan decorated with his awesome posters. A grin pulled at the seam of his lips - sweet, a taker! And she's kinda cute, too.
Vaan quicked his pace and approached the girl, putting on a suave grin that he learned from Balthier.
"Hello, miss," he began. "I see you've taken interest in my... advertisement?"

When she was addressed, she turned to the young man with blond hair. He looked young, at least. She couldn't tell just by simply looking at his face. She lowered her phone and chuckled, as though it was the easiest thing to do in the world. "Well... I know him. I just thought it was sort of silly. He isn't really looking, is he? He's such a serious guy..." She tapped the base of her chin thoughtfully.
"I really don't think he'd even go unless he was forced to. You know, chaperoning or something like that... Are you really sure he's looking...?" She couldn't ever picture herself going with him. She just liked following him around.

"Oh, he's looking, all right," Vaan assured with a nod of the head, looking at who he percieved was an upperclassman in the eye. "He just sorta doesn't know it yet, y'know?" he added with a wink.
"But yeah, I asked Basch over AIM beforehand - he's chaperoning. So y'know, I thought, 'why not?'. 'Cause he's gonna be there anyway. I think he could have a little bit of fun if he danced with a pretty girl," Vaan explained.

"When I get my hands on him..."

So this was going to be her new place of employment? New faculty, new students, new everything. It was thrilling. She was ecstatic, and even more so, she was over the top with the idea of what and who she'd face. Hopefully it'd be some good-looking boy who first crossed her path.
As she looked around, her eyes skimmed the first poster before she passed, "Hm, hm, hm. This Basch looking for a pretty prom date." Even if she hadn't been alone, it still would have happened. She struck a pose, feeding her own overinflated ego, "There's no one prettier than me! I might just have to look into this. After I've found my room."
