The arcade, huh? Alice had to admit that it sounded like a good idea. She liked it, and she didn't get to go out to places like that often. She was more accustomed to going out for ice cream or something like that, since Emi liked those sort of things and Alice was really only there for the company.

"I guess they don't have these in Renais, do they? Do you guys do anything for fun there?"

Alice assumed that if they didn't have games like the arcades did that the only fun thing was doing the deed. She didn't want to step in that direction.

"We do other things for our amusement. Festivals," Ephraim suggested. "But those only come so often. People of my world tend to use their free time to train, study magic, or just work some more."

People of this world were lucky. Even with all these monster attacks, people could afford to spend time on such amusements. They didn't have to worry about having their entire political systems overturned. Or organized barbarian/pirate/thief attacks. He did wish that Magvel was half as stable as Aegean appeared to be.

"That doesn't sound like much fun," Alice admitted with a bit of a frown. Arms folded across her chest in a manner that said plenty about her juvenile antics, and she shook her head in disbelief.

"You're not allowed to do that kind of stuff when you're with me. I work enough. I don't want to use my free time to 'work some more'."

Ephraim chuckled. "Of course. That's why we're going out to this arcade, aren't we? Though I haven't the slightest idea what to expect."
