Best. Day. Ever. or at least in a while

A total note to self for my next appointment. I had a great meeting with the Lay Leadership Team today to reorganize and brainstorm. I was very underprepared and not especially optimistic. As usual, the outcome was not what I expected. Maybe that means it's not all about me...

I'm glad to hear that the Dr. Seuss remakes are doing some good. I can't stand watching them myself because I have too many memories of the older animated versions, but every generation needs to reinvent its stories. I just don't ever want to watch Jim Carrey in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" ever again.

I'm with you there. And that's the only Dr. Seuss movie I saw as a kid, so I bet that's part of the reason. Horton was cute, but I am very convinced that there are some things that are meant to b e animated, and that's where Grinch was not such a good idea. Didn't see Mike Myers as the Cat either.

Same Whoville, same Whos.

Ahrens and Flaherty make more of this reference in Seussical: when the Whos introduce themselves, they make reference to their annual Christmas pageant, Grinch and all.

See, such smart friends I have! I can't be sure, but I think the artists for the film took great pains to highlight the similarities in the Whos compared to, say, The Grinch movie.
