Minnesota: it grows on you

This morning my coworker who grew up in Vietnam came in from an errand that had taken him outdoors, and said "It's pretty warm out there. I thought I'd need my jacket, but it was too hot." The temperature outside was just a few degrees above freezing

Yay new coat! It sounds lovely. And yes, it's funny how one adjusts to extreme climates eventually.

Friend of mine moved here from Texas. Toward the end of his second winter here, we were going out for coffee. It was around 42 degrees. He said "It's nice out."

Then he caught himself, stopped dead in his tracks and said:

"What am I saying!?"

Priceless moment about adjusting to climate.
