I love Hugo Weaving, I just had from the texts a much different physical impression of Elrond--more conventionally handsome and Noldorin in looks. And it was so ingrained in my head. The Elrond of PJ's LotR movies really got the worst deal of any character, except Denethor maybe, on the re-write of their role in the story also. I am looking forward to Elrond getting a better/more sympathetic part in this one.
The last scene was the perfect cliff-hanger!!
Eeeps! "perfect cliffhanger" is an oxymoron to me. But I do know other people feel differently, especially script writers.
